The idea of developing the Moon to send materials to the Earth's or Using the Moon as forward base for space development is not new. Lifting material off the Moon is considerably easier, and the idea to build an electromagnetic accelerator on the Moon seemed reasonable. Some people called the accelerator "mass driver" and the picture shown here is the image of the mass driver. But why mass driver was never built? Why wasn't the Moon developed as a forward space station? One of the reasons is that there was no fuel for spacecraft on the Moon.
